Holly has been a practicing Speech Language Pathologist for over 17 years. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and a Georgia License in Speech Language Pathology. Holly received her Bachelor's Degree in Human Sciences from Auburn University, and her Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Georgia in 1994. Holly has worked in a variety of settings, including public and private schools, child-development centers, hospitals, speech and language clinics, and the home environment. She has experience assessing and treating children with a variety of communication disorders, including, but not limited to: Articulation/Phonology, Oral-Motor, Apraxia, Receptive and Expressive Language, Auditory Processing, ADHD, Autism Spectrum, and Learning Disabilities. She has conducted faculty training and parent education seminars, supervised graduate students, and has participated in multi-disciplinary intervention teams for pre-school and school-age children. Holly most recently attended the Executive Dysfunction: The Disorganized, Defiant and Chaotic Child and Adolescent conference as well as the Hear Builder: Strategic Intervention for Auditory Memory Training webinar. For the past several years, she has attended the GOSSLP Best Practices Conference for Speech Language Pathologists, and has received continuing education in the following: Phonological Awareness; The Differential Diagnosis of Processing Disorders; The Language Learning Needs of Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders; and Childhood Apraxia of Speech: Evidence Based Intervention. Holly enjoys playing tennis, volunteering at church and school, and spending time with her husband and two children.
