Lynda Hart, M.S., CCC-SLP

Lynda is a Speech-Language Pathologist with over 12 years of experience. Lynda works with both children and adults. She is licensed in Georgia and Maryland, and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Lynda received her Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Howard University in Washington D.C. She continued her academic career at the University of the District of Columbia where she received her Master of Science Degree in Clinical Speech-Language Pathology. Lynda has spent the majority of her career in educational and healthcare settings; providing consulting, diagnostic, and therapy services to children, adults, and geriatric populations in settings to include early intervention services, elementary education, home health care, and skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers. Lynda has experience in articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language, auditory processing, phonemic/phonological awareness, executive functioning disorders as it relates to language and cognitive-linguistic skills, aphasia, dysphagia, dysarthria and apraxia. She has presented in-services and educational training to faculty, staff, family members, and parents,and provided supervision of graduate students and speech-language pathology assistants. Lynda herself is always a student and continues to advance her knowledge through continuing education opportunities. She is trained in Lindamood Bell's Visualizing and Verbalizing and Seeing Stars programs. She is certified in VitalStim therapy for dysphagia, and is completing additional training in oro-myofacial therapy.
